Visit GN Espace on Stand J358 at Southampton Boat Show

15-24 September 2023

Specialist galley manufacturer GN Espace is to celebrate 15 years in business at the 2023 Southampton Boat Show with a bigger and better stand, revealing yet more galley and cooking products that are leading the way in innovative on-board energy savings.

Reflecting on the company’s journey through the years Julian Kimberley, who founded the company together with Ralph Olingschlaeger in 2007, comments: “We are incredibly proud of attaining some key goals in the field of energy saving in an arena which sees yachts moving towards all-electric capabilities and away from fossil fuel generation and gas cooking.”

“Fifteen years ago we started the business by offering a range of marine gas cookers, albeit of the highest quality, but our goal right from the beginning was to use their template to develop an advanced electric version. The materials and construction that we used in the gas models that we still sell today were put through their paces in the tough marine environment, so we had developed a proven foundation to build on.”

Amongst the new offerings at Southampton is a Deck Griddle, an on-deck electric outdoor griddle, which boasts a host of features for simple and easy cooking while using cutting edge technology to keep energy consumption to a minimum. Plus there’s an Oven Eco-door, which can be fitted to the inside of a boat’s electric oven door to keep heat in, so that a hot casserole of food, just cooked on the hob, can keep on slow cooking without the oven even being turned on, in the style of a traditional hay oven – another significant energy saver

“GN Espace is the only company in the UK currently selling electric induction cookers in the marine market,” continues Julian. “Our marine grade components and the performance of our products at sea have turned the electric dream into reality.  It is very rewarding to see how successfully electric cookers have entered the marketplace.”

He adds “Right from our beginning we recognised the huge challenges faced by the limitations of electricity on boats, but despite this we have managed to overcome them, tuning the available technology and construction methods so that there is no compromise to cooking results.  You get the performance you would expect in your home kitchen.”

GN Espace will also exhibit its established range of both gas and electric cookers at Southampton along with sinks and galley solutions for every size and type of yacht.
